Context :
Following the massive displacement of more than 688,000 people into Bangladesh since the end of August 2017, Tdh has established a significant emergency response plan to provide relief to Rohingya refugees, focusing on nutrition, health, WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), and child protection.
Main responsibilities:
The WASH Field Assistant will provide support to the "Advocacy & IPC" Supervisor in implementing high-quality WASH project activities in the Health Care Facilities of Teknaf sub-district. This will involve following the WASH FIT (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene in Health Care Facilities) guidelines and the Eight Practical Steps for Universal Coverage outlined by WHO and UNICEF. The main objective is to ensure that the project outputs and outcomes related to Advocacy and System Strengthening are effectively realized.
Specific responsibilities:
Implementation and Reporting:
Implement assigned activities according to the project work plan and methodology approved by the "Advocacy & IPC" Supervisor and WASH Programme Manager.
Assist in the preparation of weekly, monthly, and annual activity plans.
Prepare weekly plans and achievements reports under the supervision of the "Advocacy & IPC" Supervisor.
Monitor the achievements and progress of assigned activities and report to the line manager.
Utilize project monitoring tools (inclduiing KoBotoolbox) and ensure their proper use.
Coordination and Support:
Support the "Advocacy & IPC" Supervisor in daily workers/volunteers payment.
Assist in preparing materials and organizing events such as training, orientations, and workshops.
Ensure the proper dissemination of WASH messages at the Health Care Facility (HCF) level.
Plan and conduct HCFs group meetings and fund generation meetings using various promotional approaches/topics.
Visit HCFs regularly to monitor progress, work, and conduct meetings with HCF personnel.
Collaborate closely with the "Advocacy & IPC" Supervisor, HCFs and LGIs representatives, and volunteers for efficient and effective implementation of WASH activities.
Participate in different types of WASH training programs.
Data Collection and Assessment:
Participate in data collection, assessment, planning, monitoring, and review at the HCFs, following WASH FIT guidelines.
Support the MEAL department in collecting data during KAP/baseline/midline/endline surveys.
Project Support and Coordination:
Assist the "Advocacy and IPC" Supervisor in the construction, operation, and maintenance of WASH facilities, as well as the preparation and implementation of improvement plans based on WASH FIT assessments.
Identify beneficiaries based on approved selection criteria.
Coordinate with HCFs representatives to plan and schedule meetings and sessions.
Facilitate health department representatives during field visits.
Documentation and Communication:
Prepare event plans, session/meeting plans, and work plans in accordance with project requirements.
Ensure proper maintenance of payment-related documents for volunteers/daily workers.
Organize orientations, meetings, and training for the WASH in HCF project team, volunteers, and HCFs representatives.
Maintain site construction and repair maintenance materials stock register, and assisting the supervisor while preparing material purchase forms.
Prepare and submit regular WASH activity reports to the supervisor.
Security and Child Safety:
Ensure that suppliers prioritize the safety of their employees and the community, with a special focus on the safety of children.
Ensure the visibility and safety of volunteers by providing them with necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) materials while working in the field.

Profile : We are seeking a WASH Technical Expert with proven experience in implementing field-level WASH interventions. The candidate has to be a strong team player, capable of contributing to the successful, effective, and efficient delivery of TDH’s WASH interventions in the Teknaf area.
Education:
· Bachelor/Honors in any discipline
Experience & Other requirements:
· Minimum 01 year of Proven experience with (I)NGO; (b) WASH/WASH in HCF; (c) is required.
Knowledge and skills:
Experience/knowledge in HCF waste management, infection prevention and control (IPC), and other WASH (water, sanitation, and hygiene)
Organizing and conducting sessions, meetings, trainings, and orientations with healthcare facilities (HCFs) and other stakeholders.
Ability to accomplish assigned tasks with accuracy and within established deadlines.
Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask effectively.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Demonstrated hardworking nature.
Professionalism and thoroughness, good capacity to work under pressure.
Languages:
English & Bangla (Fluency in local language will be considered as a plus)
IT knowledge:
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
