Founded in 1960 and active in Nepal since 1985, Tdh has implemented impactful interventions in Maternal and Child Health, Migration, and WASH in Institutions, with a strong focus on Child Protection. Position: Resource Mobilization / Business Development Coordinator (Head)

Overview
The Head of Resource Mobilisation is responsible for leading and coordinating strategic fundraising, donor engagement, partnership development, and business development initiatives for the Tdh Nepal Country Office. The position supports sustainable portfolio growth through proactive donor intelligence, strategic positioning, proposal coordination, and development of high-quality technical and financial submissions aligned with organizational priorities and evolving donor expectations. The role plays a central coordination function in identifying funding opportunities, strengthening donor relationships, supporting consortium development, and ensuring competitive positioning of the organization within the humanitarian and development funding landscape.
The position is responsible for coordinating the preparation of both technical and financial proposals in close collaboration with programme, finance, MEAL, safeguarding, and operations teams, ensuring that all submissions fully comply with donor templates, eligibility requirements, compliance standards, and submission guidelines. The role also contributes to strengthening organizational systems for fundraising, donor intelligence, costing frameworks, knowledge management, and strategic partnerships while promoting innovation, localization, climate resilience, accountability, and safeguarding within proposal development processes.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Resource Mobilisation & Donor Intelligence
- Lead implementation and periodic revision of the Country Fundraising Strategy.
- Conduct proactive donor intelligence and horizon scanning to identify institutions, foundations, bilateral and multilateral agencies, corporate foundations, and innovative financing opportunities.
- Track emerging international donor trends, thematic priorities, and funding mechanisms relevant to Nepal and the region.
- Analyse donor strategies, funding histories, and competitive landscapes to support strategic positioning.
- Support pre-positioning efforts with donors and strategic partners prior to major call announcements.
Proposal Development and Coordination
- In coordination with program and regional Programme Expertise and Fundraising Advisor, provide support to prepare quality and compelling concept notes and full project proposals and ensure their timely submission in the donor’s prescribed templates.
- Coordinate end-to-end proposal development processes including concept notes, expressions of interest, and full proposals.
- Lead the development and implementation of proposal retro plan in coordination with program, MEAL, finance, operations, and Programme Expertise and regional fundraising advisor to ensure effective cross-functional collaboration and timely delivery of submissions.
- Ensure donor compliance requirements, eligibility criteria, and submission standards are fully met.
- Ensure effective management of proposal archives, donor documentation, and institutional knowledge repositories through SharePoint to strengthen knowledge retention, accessibility, compliance, and cross-functional collaboration.
Partnership & Consortium Development
- Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with NGOs, INGOs, UN agencies, academic institutions, private sector actors, networks as consortium partners for fund raising.
- Support consortium-building initiatives and partnership negotiations.
- Coordinate due diligence documentation and partnership compliance requirements such as Teaming Up agreement, MoU, Letter of Support in coordination with the Organization Development Manager and Program Teams.
- Contribute to equitable partnership approaches aligned with localization principles.
- Represent the organization in donor meetings, partner forums, and coordination platforms as delegated.
Donor Relationship Management
- Maintain positive and professional relationships with existing & prospective donors.
- Coordinate donor communications related to funding opportunities/submissions.
- Support donor engagement meetings, presentations, capacity statements, and strategic positioning materials.
- Ensure timely responses to donor requests and clarification queries.
- Contribute to donor visibility and stewardship strategies in coordination with communications officer.
Knowledge Management, System & Innovation
- Ensure accurate maintenance of grants follow-up tool and funding opportunity systems in Engage360 and other internal platforms.
- Strengthen institutional knowledge management for fundraising and proposal development.
- Actively participate in Fundraising Communities of Practice and other resource mobilization learning platforms organized by Headquarters and regional teams and contribute to organizational learning by sharing country office experiences, good practices, lessons learned, donor intelligence, and innovative fundraising approaches.
Qualifications & Experience:
· Minimum Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., MBA, political science, international relations, etc.) from a recognised institution;
· Training in gender, project management and leadership is an advantage;
· At least 7 years' experience in the field of International Fund Raising. Solid understanding and experience of child rights with at least 5 years' experience in developing project proposals, managing programmes and developing expertise and knowledge;
· Expertise in advocacy techniques and strategies is an advantage;
· Ideally, the candidate will have already carried out similar work in an organisation working at the international level.
