Context :
Following the massive displacement of more than 688,000 people into Bangladesh since the end of August 2017, Tdh has established a significant emergency response plan to provide relief to Rohingya refugees, focusing on nutrition, health, WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), and child protection.

The HR Officer will provide essential support to the HR team in Teknaf and Ukhiya by assisting with recruitment and related administrative processes under the BPRM-funded project. This position will play a key role in ensuring that all recruitment and selection activities are conducted in a timely, transparent, and compliant manner, fully aligned with Tdh’s HR policies, procedures, and donor requirements.
To further enhance recruitment efficiency, TDH Bangladesh has recently introduced the Teamtailor HR application as part of its digital transformation initiative. With the upcoming BPRM project activities in Teknaf and ongoing recruitment needs at the Ukhiya under the UNICEF project, the HR team is facing an increased operational workload.
To effectively address these demands and ensure consistent HR support to program implementation, a HR Officer is required to assist both the HR Manager – Teknaf and the Senior HR Officer – Ukhiya. The incumbent will contribute to managing the recruitment workflow, maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance in documentation, and supporting overall HR service delivery.
This position will be based in Teknaf and will report directly to the HR Manager – Teknaf.
Specific responsibilities:
- Assist in end-to-end recruitment processes for the BPRM and UNICEF-funded projects, including job advertisement, application screening, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
- Ensure all recruitment activities are conducted in line with Tdh’s HR policies, procedures, and donor compliance requirements.
- Support the timely onboarding of new staff by preparing recruitment files, reference checks, and necessary documentation.
- Maintain close coordination with the HR teams in Teknaf & Ukhiya to ensure smooth recruitment operations and information flow.
- Ensure all recruitment documentation is properly organized, filed, and stored in accordance with TDH data protection and audit standards.
- Assist in organizing staff orientation, induction sessions, and onboarding logistics for new hires.
- Provide administrative support to the HR team in managing short-term contracts, volunteers, and consultants as needed.
- Contribute to maintaining a professional and inclusive HR environment that promotes transparency and accountability.
- Work collaboratively with the HR Manager – Teknaf and Senior HR Officer – Ukhiya to manage workload distribution and ensure timely completion of recruitment tasks.
- Provide regular updates on recruitment progress and challenges to supervisors.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned to support HR operations and program implementation.

Profile:
We are looking for an HR Officer with proven experience in recruitment
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or a relevant discipline
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of work experience in the field of Human Resources Management
- At least 1 year of experience in Human Resources Officer position
Skills:
- Hands-on experience in working on HR softwares will be a benefit
- Experience using payroll applications such as HOMERE is highly preferable
- Experience using recruitment applications such as Teamtailor is highly preferable
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Coordinating within the departments to address recruitment issues, propose solutions and ensure the effective implementation of the agreed steps
Languages
- Must have good English communication skills — written, spoken, and typing
- Basic proficiency in Chittagonian language
IT knowledge :
IT knowledge (Microsoft Office, Internet, excel)
Salary:
Monthly Salary (Gross): BDT 55,800/- (Non-negotiable)
