Overview:
Under the direct supervision of the Project Manager, the individual is responsible for field-level implementation of the nutrition project titled "Improving the Nutritional Status and Resilience to Adverse Socio-Economic Effects Amongst Children Under Five, Pregnant and Breastfeeding Women and Girls" in two peri-urban townships: Dala and Htantabin, in Yangon.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Implementation and Project cycle management
· Deliver quality nutrition program implementation, focusing on community-based nutrition screening, prevention, promotion, referral, strengthening mother support groups (MSGs), MHPSS, CB-DRM, and EORE.
· Develop and apply common standards, tools, and practices for planning, implementation, monitoring, learning, and reporting.
· Collaborate with MEAL officer and partners for household vulnerability assessments, registration, enrollment processes, participant list preparation, and regular database updates according to SOP and local contexts.
· Create work plans and monitoring and evaluation plans to ensure quality project delivery, aligning with strategic project plans in collaboration with partner organizations.
· Assist the project manager in developing training guidelines/curriculum, tools, manuals, and IEC materials in coordination with local partner organizations.
· Organize and facilitate capacity development training for partner staff and MSG members to ensure understanding of manuals, procedures, and tools, and to strengthen technical competencies.
· Provide technical support to partner staff and MSG members in areas such as CVA, IMAM, c-IYCF, anthropometric measurement, community mobilization, resource mobilization, financial management, MHPSS, CB-DRM, and EORE.
· Plan regular follow-up visits with partners and MSGs for supportive monitoring of program participants with the assistance of the MEAL Officer.
· Monitor and supervise the planning, organizing, and delivery of monthly SBCC services to program participants by partner staff, alongside the MEAL officer.
· Ensure MSGs improve their capacity and performance, effectively managing emergency referral seed funds.
· Promote and enhance community participation and engagement in the program.
· Coordinate and collaborate with other Child Protection, Health, WASH, and Nutrition teams for mutual support as needed.
· Build and maintain strong partnerships with partner staff, MSGs, local key actors, and stakeholders to address health and nutritional needs of children under five, pregnant, and breastfeeding women and girls.
· Support partner organizations in managing grants in line with donor and Tdh's requirements.
· Establish and maintain responsive community complaint and feedback mechanisms (CFRM) with the support of the MEAL officer/manager and in collaboration with partner organizations.
· Organize and facilitate monthly planning and coordination meetings, cross-exchange and learning visits, and donor visits with partner organizations and MSGs.
· Assist the Project Manager and MEAL Manager in preparing monthly progress reports for donors and others, including data entry, data processing, data analysis, and presentation, together with the MEAL officer.
· Contribute to developing and implementing innovations in your specialty and collaborate closely on their dissemination to teams and colleagues.
· Perform any other tasks assigned by the responsible line manager/supervisor.
Developing, Implementing and Evaluating Trainings
· Assist in developing training curriculum, agenda, and tools for respective and thematic areas/topics in coordination with local partner organization, programme managers and team members.
· Coordinates with training agencies/ organization (as required) and assess the gaps/areas that project staff need to improve their capacity.
· Assist and organize in facilitating the capacity development training especially for partner staff and MSG members, and prepare training report, including evaluation of the training.
Finance Management
· Assist and facilitate in preparing of monthly and quarterly plans, requests, and reports in close collaboration with the finance team and partner organizations.
· Assist in examining budget vs actual reports of partners on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to monitor expenses and guide future spending and allocations.
· Assist in ensuring effective budget management and administration of project finances, including adherence to donor financial management guidelines and budgets.
· Participate in developing annual project activity budgets and monitor project action plans against their financing plans to ensure they conform.
Administrative, HR, and Logistics Management
· Adhere to Tdh Policies and Procedures, including HR regulations, Procurement Guidelines, Logistics Guidelines, and Finance and Administration Rules and Regulations and coordinate with the HR Manager to ensure all team members follow these policies.
· Actively participate in capacity-building initiatives, including basic and advanced training, to support, mentor, and coach the partner staff.
· Support project manager to work closely with the logistics department to ensure verifiable records for the procurement, transportation, delivery, and receipt of project inputs to the respective field locations.
· Coordinate with the Logistics Officer on all matters related to training and events.
Communication, Coordination and Supporting as Liaison
· Communicate effectively with strong interpersonal skills, and engage with local partner organizations, key stakeholders, local CSOs, mother support groups, and communities.
· Maintain good relationships with other health and child protection program teams, donors, and local key actors, including volunteers, CSOs, INGOs/NGOs/CBOs in project areas.
· Collaborate closely with Finance, Admin, Logistics, MEAL, Communication, and Reporting Departments to ensure smooth processing of project implementation activities.
· Support the line manager in coordinating monitoring visits by senior staff or donors.
· Contribute to and coordinate campaigns and advocacy related to your field of expertise, ensuring Tdh representation in various coordination meetings and forums.
Reporting
· Ensure information sharing and provide learning opportunities for Tdh staff, partner organizations, donors, and other stakeholders.
· Collaborate with the MEAL Manager/Officer and partner organizations to develop monthly, quarterly, and annual progress reports, including indicator reporting to track activity implementation progress.
· Prepare and submit monthly progress, training, assessment, survey, and field trip reports to the line manager, adhering to reporting deadlines.
· Work closely with the line manager and Communication and Reporting Officer to prepare donor reports, quarterly and annual reports, success stories, human interest stories, and other publications on time.
Others
· Undertake additional tasks as required, particularly in response to emergencies or requests from the delegation, regional, HQ level, or donors.
